Hi Brett and Soak,

I don’t mean to be arrogant

I was referring to the many households that buy kosher food because of the taste and the humane slaughter requirements (though unfortunately it seems that’s not always true.)

On this blog we cover “…economic, social, and environmental challenges…” We interpret that to mean those issue which our audience is interested in which means often social issues, organic and humanely raised food.

As Megan mentions above, “Kosher turkey”s were already suspect. It’s a bit arrogant of you to say that “many households” will be forgoing Turkeys because of this, Kosher Jews are less than 1% of the population. I wouldn’t say that constitutes “many households” …

Even if Agriprocessors were still in business, the meat they were producing was not up to kosher standards at all, even though they advertised it as such. Undercover investigations have shown that they do not follow the kosher guidelines, and extremely cruel and disgusting practices. http://www.goveg.com/feat/agriprocessors/
