Monday, April 9
Water Sustainability in the Rockies: Agriculture to Urban Transfers:  guest speaker Kay Brothers, deputy general manager for the South Nevada Water Authority

Tuesday, April 10
Forest Health: guest speaker James Hubbard, U.S. Forest Service deputy chief for state and private forestry

Wednesday, April 11
New Communities/New Urbanism: guest speaker Peter Calthorpe, urban planner and architect and author of “Sustainable Communities” (with Sim Van der Ryn)

Each day will follow the same schedule:

  • 4:00-6:00 p.m., Gates Common Room, Palmer Hall: brief presentation of report card findings, followed by topical case studies delivered by a panel of experts
  • 6:15-7:15 p.m., McHugh Commons, Western Ridge Complex: buffet dinner for conference participants, in line of sight with Pikes Peak and the Rockies
  • 7:30-8:45 p.m., Armstrong Theatre: keynote speaker followed by Q & A

Of note: one week before the conference, Ted Turner will be on campus to receive the inaugural Champion of the Rockies Award. The award ceremony and an acceptance speech will be in Armstrong Theatre from 12:30-1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 3.
