The TEDGlobal 2010<\/a> conference is underway in the city of Oxford. This year’s theme… And Now the Good News.<\/strong><\/p>\n

I admire the positive direction TED has taken at their conference this year, because we have been bogged down with the never-ending “headlines of the political, economic and environmental woes facing the planet”. We sometimes forget about the great achievements happening every day by the most amazing people. It is time to focus on the good news.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

For the next four days, attendees will listen to TED’s famous, inspirational 18-minute talks and participate in TED University where they will share their expertise and experience on topics such as “How men create their spaces” and “Why companies should give away shares.”<\/p>\n

Some of this year’s speakers include activist and singer-songwriter, Annie Lennox (pictured above); founder of Transparency International, Peter Elgen; editorial cartoonist, Patrick Chappatte; and diplomat, Joseph Nye.<\/p>\n

Nic Marks is also speaking at TED. He is a bona fide Happiness Researcher. My question is… how do I get that job?<\/p>\n
